Welcome to American Soldier Network

9/11 affected every American.

…for Annie Nelson, it was a life-changer.

Founder, Annie Nelson

Corporal Jesse Schertz

Having no real knowledge of our troops but a fierce need to do something, she decided to write. And write she did.
Corporal Jesse Schertz, hit by suicide bomber on 12/22/2004, became Annie’s first Pen Pal. The Marine in Iraq and Annie at home shared tears, fears, tragedies and triumphs.
The faith and friendship of two strangers brought together by war has proudly grown into the American Soldier Network.

We all can make a difference…

“Friends of Our Fallen” Toy Drive 2011

 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Our “Friends of the Fallen” toy drive event was a magical evening of food, music, celebrities, US Army soldiers, friends, volunteers, sponsors (Crystalarium, Two Guys Grilling, Zevia, Simone Robertson Photography, Saloon Sweets) & TOYS, oh the TOYS! Thanks to all who attended the open house & to the school children in the Los Angeles & Orange County areas who had in school toy drives in support of our “Friends of the Fallen” all total we collected 1,000 toys. The toys were distributed to the Snowball Express organization (all of the children this group interact with are children of our fallen heroes since 911), the pediatrics ward of the Naval Hospital of San Diego and to several homeless veteran families in the Southern California area. What a gift it was for all involved at the American Soldier Network to be Santa’s helpers this year.

What a Special Day.

We delivered over 200 stuffed coolers to the 5th Regimen at Camp Pendleton. Actor Nick Searcy and his son Omar came along with Mom and me. Colonel Buhl and his men were amazing hosts.
Enjoy the photos.
